This statue features the charismatic character Umibozu (known as "Mammouth" in the French version), a former mercenary, professional cleaner, and imposing giant whose sheer presence is enough to send criminals running.
The scene takes place inside the Cat's Eye café — the favorite meeting spot of the City Hunter crew, watched over by Umibozu himself. Here, he strikes a pose with an M20 bazooka on his shoulder, dressed in his bartender outfit that highlights his sensitive side — a striking contrast to the cold, unreachable image he usually projects. Naturally shy, he dislikes being the center of attention. Description
We chose to create a collector's statue featuring Umibozu in his bartender attire from the Cat's Eye café.
The sculpt successfully captures the character's massive build in an elegant posture, showcasing every detail — from seam lines and fabric folds to the embroidery on his apron.
Each piece of clothing features detailed textures to enhance realism, while the head and forearms are left smooth to stay true to the manga style.
A subtle touch of realism has been added to his facial features, drawing inspiration from the more detailed manga illustrations while preserving his iconic look known to all fans.
The base pays tribute to the license and character through visual cues and references:
On the front of the base, a chalkboard displays the message "XYZ" — the secret code left on the message board at Shinjuku Station to call upon the services of “City Hunter.”
Around the edge of the base, a repeating "Baka Baka" pattern — reminiscent of the crow chasing the dragonfly — evokes the character's clumsy or comical moments.
Under the base, a metal plate is engraved with product information and the individual number of this limited edition.
