On November 9, 1988, Shueisha published the second of the three official Saint Seiya art books, titled “Jump Gold Selection 2.”
Probably the most sought-after of them all, this volume mainly focuses on the Asgard arc and contains a number of hidden treasures:
- An exclusive poster
- The very first images of the Asgard and Poseidon figures, as well as the presentation of the original contest to win the Odin Robe
- The official story of Saga (a complementary reference to the Hypermyth)
- The original character sketches of the Bronze Saints, Gold Saints, and Silver Saints, as well as those appearing in the first two films (Evil Goddess Eris and The Heated Battle of the Gods)
