Lightning Overdrive is poised to shock the Dueling world and reinvigorate not one, but TWO beloved monsters from the worlds of the Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series!
First, Number 39: Utopia from Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL gets a brand-new version of its upgraded Number C39: Utopia Ray form! Alongside comes a new suite of supporting cards that help you Summon Utopia as well as fetch “ZW” monsters and “Rank-Up-Magic” Spells out of your Deck.
After that, Lightning Overdrive rewinds time to Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, and introduces a new upgraded form of Akiza's beloved Black Rose Dragon! This monster will also be joined by a small retinue of “Rose Dragon” related cards to aid your Synchro Summons.
But it doesn't stop there! A brand-new strategy invites all Duelists to explore the excitement and mystery of a monster-themed amusement park, and the story of Fallen of Albaz that began in Rise of the Duelist continues onward. Lightning Overdrive also features the following:

Aleister, Verre, Endymion, you know their names, but do you really know them? Genesis Impact unearths some of the secret histories of the most famous Magicians in the world of Dueling! To get the full story, you'll need to master Fusion Summoning, Synchro Summoning, Zyx Summoning and Link Summoning in the same Deck. (We have restricted access to this section. We can't let our secrets get out, so you know what? See you in December!) Finally, turning the tables on Ritual Summoning with a new theme that can cast the Ritual Summon of any Ritual Monster in the game from your hand or Graveyard, by Sacrificing Machine monsters whose ATK is equal to or greater than the monster's ATK. The level does not have to match. Every Effect Monster in the theme is a 2000 ATK Machine, so it's easy to get these conditions no matter which Ritual Monster you want to Summon. Combine two of these monsters' ATKs and Ritual Summon a 4000 ATK Ritual Monster to get started! Genesis Impact follows the distribution of card rarities from the Chaos Toon boosters, so be on the lookout for 15 new Collector Rares! Dive into the story of Fallen of Albaz in the Structure Deck: Albaz Strike! Originally from Rise of the Duelist, Fallen of Albaz has been a central character in the storyline that's played out on the cards since then and has taken on many different dragonic Fusion Monster forms.
This Structure Deck is built around Fallen of Albaz's powerful Fusion Summoning effect that lets him absorb enemy monsters into himself to transform and includes multiple new Fusion forms to further expand his power! You'll also get new Tri-Brigade and Springan monsters who fought alongside Fallen of Albaz on his journey. Old favorites from Phantom Rage and Blazing Vortex also return to enter the fray!
Structure Deck: Albaz Strike has 5 total special Tokens that you can use as whatever type of Token you need. In addition to the new art made specially for these Tokens, which can let you dig further into the stories of Fallen of Albaz!
