Last year's 25th Anniversary Rarities Collection was a hit, so we immediately started working on a sequel. In order to get it out as quickly as possible, we've made some changes to the configuration while keeping all the good stuff (and value!) intact.
25th Anniversary Rarities Collection II packs contain twice as many Ultra and Secret Rares per pack, giving you twice the chance of getting “Luxury Rares” per pack. (Quarter Century Secret Rares, “Prismatic” Style Ultimate and Collectible Rares, and Platinum Rares)!
We've reduced packaging, so there will be fewer packs to open (and fewer to throw away) to get the same number of cards. And with twice as many cards per pack, about two-thirds of the packs should contain at least one “luxury rarity,” that is, a rare luxury card. And about a third should have more than one. You could even get up to SIX “luxury rares” in the same package this time!
If you missed the first rarities collection, here's how it works: Each card in the set is available in all rarities, with 3 "standard" rarities (Super Rares, Super Rares, Super Rares) and four special "deluxe" rarities : Quarter Century Secret Rares (celebrating the 25th anniversary with a special sparkling effect and watermark logo), Platinum Secret Rares, "Prismatic" style Collector Rares (previously available only overseas), and Ultimate Rares from "Prismatic" style (with a special 3D varnish, and also only available abroad until recently).
Opening the Rarities Collection packs is a veritable cascade of very powerful cards, in seven of the game's most popular rarities. If you haven't yet experienced this extravaganza of a fully foil set, you go enjoy yourself!
